On Nov 7, Channel 3 from Thailand reported that a mother lodged a police report against her own daughter as she had been deceiving the parents to transfer more than 8 million Thai baht ( RM 1.09 million) to her, causing her father to be strained and committed suicide.
The sad mother told media, she always called home to ask for money with plenty of reasons. At once, she said she owed loan shark because she gamble, if the parents don’t help her and the loan shark will beat her to death.
Not long ago, she also told her mother that she had been hijacked at the petrol station, and asked the mother to transfer the money to her.
” Our family financial condition is not that good, but we are worried about her, that is why we send her the money when she was in trouble. Her father was stressed and depressed over my daughter’s matter and end up committed suicide,”
“After my husband passing, she was eyeing on his life insurance around 600,000 Thai Baht ( RM80,000). She then claimed she was losing a lot in soccer betting. If i don’t gave her the money, she threaten to kill herself,” said the mother.
Again, the poor mother handed her all the money. After much findings then only the mother realised her daughter was spending on lavish trip, fine meals and luxury goods with her boyfriend.
The daughter and her boyfriend were posted photo of them in their luxury lifestyles including trips, good food in social media. Couldn’t accept the fact, the daughter deceiving her with this reason. She lodged a police report.
Currently, Thai police is in the midst of investigating the case. She and her partner might be jailed or fined or both, if she was found guilty
