Malaysian actress, Umi Aida made headlines when she teamed up with Team Forever Doggo, an online service that dedicated to increase dog adoption to raise awareness about the abuse on dogs.In the interview with the team,she even shared the story of ‘Blacky’, a dog that she take care for almost 2 years.
She shared that it started on one day when she saw a group of stray dogs, drinking water at the drain. She felt very bad and decided to give a bowl of clean water for them to drink.She told them that the DBKL took action and caught those stray dogs but Blacky managed to escape.She also feels like Blacky knows and respect her as a Muslim because it never come close to her or ask to be pet. The dog also didn’t defecated or urinated everywhere, rather it would go in the jungle to do it.
Umi shared on Instagram post about Blacky asked her for help to bury the puppies.In the post, Umi said that Blacky looked teary as she asked for the help. Umi mentioned in the post that as a human, we should take the story as a lesson and have compassion, sympathy also empathy.
Not only that, she also added that people cannot force themselves to love animal but we need to respect them as they also the God’s creation. Umi said that if we respect animal, they would do the same thing too.
