Sultan Johor Most Doted Princess, Married a Dutch Former Model and Footballer

Johor royal family, some said the richest and most powerful among all the royal family in Malaysia. Sultan Ibrahim not only with the inherited wealth but also involved in many investments or businesses, including chain convenient store, telco company, shopping mall and even petroleum facilities.

Sultan Ibrahim married Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofia, daughter of Sultan Idris Shah II of Perak, in 1982. They have six children aged 19 to 36 years old. The one and the only daughter, Princess Tunku Tun Aminah, their second child born in 1986.

She was graduate from La Salle college of Arts and Australian International School Singapore, speaks fluent English and Malay. A beautiful inside and out princess.

Dennis Verbaas born in 1989 in Lisse, a town and municipality in the western Netherlands. He used to play in senior amateur football with which he had to retire at the age of 17 due to heart problems. He then did modelling and went to work in Malaysia and Singapore.

Dennis then worked as a manager at a sports company in Johor and as a marketing manager in Singapore at the Tampines Rovers Football Club. He met the princess through the football club.

Verbaas converted to Islam on May 31, 2015 and took the name Dennis Muhammad Abdullah. Dennis was taught Islam and the culture of Malaysia for two years.

The two tied the knot on 2017 at Istana Bukit Serene, the royal palace and official residence of the Sultan of Johor.

“We will move into our own home and start life anew as husband and wife. It will be the first time I will be living alone and away from my parents and family,” the princess said, in a statement released by the Johor Royal Press Office.

The two also welcome their first baby early 2020.

The princess and the husband both are humble, very low profile and easy-going couple which gained popularity and love from a lot of Johoreans.
