[Part 2] Cathryn Li Says ” Sorry!” After Storming Off in a Live Talkshow. Netizen Says,” Why Throwing Tantrum Like 5-Year-Old”

For the first time, the popular Malaysian influencer, Cathryn Li stormed off in huff after been doubted by netizens on her piano skills in a Facebook live talkshow.

She was upset that media team who invited her for the talkshow never let her know in advance that she will need to perform. She though it was just a chat. She was not prepared and moreover, she never heard of that kind of music.

Needless to say, the Live talkshow went viral with all sorts of comments. Some encouraged her, asked her not to react to the haters. Some said they were surprised with her reaction, because as a influencer she should used to those comments be it good or bad. Some reminded her as a public figure, EQ is important. And of course, some were disappointed with her saying she behaving like a 5-year-old girl.

2 days after the incident, Cathryn broke the silent and took social media to apologize for her misbehavior and defended her piano skills. It took just 10 hours for her post to garner more than 10k responses and close to 1k comments.

Her post read:

I apologized for my misbehavior. I already clarified in the Facebook post, i admitted i was in wrong and need to improve my EQ skills.

I should just remained silent and put a smile on my face even i was bashed by haters. I regretted  for losing control on myself during the talkshow.

But seeing friends and netizens who defended me, i feel blessed. Thanks for supporting me!

I wanted to stress again that i prefer solo acoustic piano, keyboard or on the spot jamming is not my strength and i’m not keen. My job scope is nothing relevant to this.

Everyone do have their preference in their music genre. I hope you don’t force others on me. And it’s not like a good musician good in all sorts of music genre too.

Every genre of music do have their own knowledge. To master a different genre, we need time to practise. I believed it’s not only music but for other performance too as we will need time to practise, a proper preparation. Showing the best on stage, i think that’s what the audience want. But not the ability to perform on the spot.

Lastly, i wanted to thank everyone for the comments. I will improve myself, to be a better me!

Let’s check out the netizens’ comments:

▼It’s rude for the host to put her in that position.

▼Classical and pop music are totally different. Extensive training needed to blend both genre. It’s not something that you can do impromptu on the spot.

▼Don’t let haters’ comments judge and affect you.

▼As a public figure, Cathryn should managed the situation professionally.

▼Tune out negative comments and focus on true supporters.

▼ Play victim and push the blame.

▼Posses good body, good look but behaving like 5-year-old.

▼Unprofessional host, nothing wrong to defend your ground.

▼Deserve to be treated with respect, people that hurt you don’t define you.

▼As an influencer, not only taking good comments but also receiving negative comments . Behaving like adult not a kid. Throwing tantrum in public is not helping.

I think not only Cathryn to be blame in this matter but all party need to take the responsibility. The organiser should have a clear communication prior the event. While Cathryn as a public figure should set a good example especially on screen. While Mr.keyboard warriors, less hate and more love OK!
