Malaysia is now with 5 figures infected cases daily. Have you ever think : Is our healthcare system overwhelmed or collapsed? Perhaps some of you haven’t aware of this crisis, or still with” I won’t be the unlucky one!” kind of thinking. Now we are going to tell you what is actually going on ~

A netizen, Lee took social media to share his experience trying to admit a Covid patient to the private hospital. He contacted more than 32 private hospitals and getting the same outcome. He sadly said: 「 If not going through all these by myself, i never knew Malaysia is already coming to this critical stage!」

The post read:

I have been calling more than 32 private hospitals, and i never thought none of them can do it.

Close to midnight, i’m still in the call asking :「 Do you know any hospital accept Covid patient?」Right after that, i will search for the next contact number of the private hospitals, calling one by one.

To be honest, my first thought was: erm, which hospital is more professional, or with better services.

After calling the first hospital, they transferred me to ER department. My question will be :「Selamat Petang Cik, nak tanya hospital anda masih terima covid punya patient tak?」( Good evening miss, can i know is your hospital still accept Covid patient?). Then they told me they do accept Covid patient but the beds are currently all occupied. Fullhouse!

I was thinking ok, why don’t we try other hospitals.

I got the same replied for the following calls. I was puzzled and clueless.. The 2nd , 3rd and 4th hospitals.. all were telling me the same. It’s either no beds or insufficient medical equipments. They can’t take in anymore patients.

From the beginning, choosing which hospital to go, to just hoping one hospital can accept the patient and lastly, just praying 1 single bed for the patient. I called almost all private hospital in Malacca, Batu Pahat, and KL and NONE .. NONE of the hospital can take in anymore patients!!!

Actually, without going through all these by myself. I still hardly believe, actually Malaysia is in such a critical stage!

Not long ago, i read about a Dato said our healthcare system collapsed and now i’m believing it. For Malaysia, with the drastic surge of the Covid cases and the infectivity rate. We are already hopeless.

Facing the rapid spread of the deadly virus, did the government strictly execute the MCO? did they come up with better solutions to overcome the crisis? a better way to lead the citizens to break the chain. Actually, No! Coming soon .. we will have more sectors opening, and after 2 doses you will be able to interstate. I believe this is running in your mind: ” seriously?”, ” Something wrong with your brain?” , ” What the heck ??XXX”

I’m disappointed, not because no beds for the patient. My heart chilled as today if my loved one is the one infected. With the limited healthcare resources, will it be hopeless for those wanted to fight for their life.

With daily cases of 20k and high infectivity rate. Basically the moment you step out from home, you might be the next one who get infected.

What can i said now, everything is out of control. Please do take care of yourself! Except for staying alive, nothing can be wilful. Still thinking going on vacation?going hiking, play basketball, swimming? Still thinking this is a city you don’t drink and you don’t have a friend ? It’s more practical to think how not to get infected.

I’m just hoping my sharing will increase awareness and sense of crisis for people around me. Don’t think about going out often, just stay at home. If you can order food delivery, just order food delivery. If you can shop online,  just shop online. Everyone must be vigilant, avoid unnecessary contact. Imagine you or your close one will be the next one who get infected.

Lastly, I still want to emphasised Malaysia is totally out of control. Everyone just hang in there, stay safe is the best, stay home is the best. Hopefully you and your loved one can be healthy and safe!

Malaysian, hopefully we can brave through the storm!

▼ One agreed with the post author and going through the same too.

▼ Some though even food delivery and online shopping is risky too. But post author said at least it’s with lesser contact. Thus, we should sanitised all the delivered items.

▼ A lot of netizens thanked him for the sharing and agreed many still do not have the awareness. Post author said healthcare is at the brink of collapse. Hopefully we can remind each other, be united the brave through the pandemic together.
