After received an offer from my dream job~ Shopee. Only i found out these..
7 months ago, i was really hoping to get Shopee’s job offer. I did a lot of homework before the interview & thank god i really got the job.
I didn’t took a video of the pantry & fridge, my colleague will thought i’m a nosy girl. Now i’m going to share with you some benefits & perks working in Shopee.
① Breakfast Monday
Every Monday with free breakfast, and It taste not bad! Normally there will be 2 options, sometimes we can get either rice or noodle for breakfast.
② Quarterly team building
Quarterly team building which normally organised by the newbies. I joined twice which i found them awesome. The first one was on end 2020, we rented a big meeting room discussed about 2021 goal and of course, we do have some games to create meaningful interaction among the coworkers. The second programme, was a casual one. We got a private room for karaoke, food and have a booze.
③ Birthday leave
The company is now offering a paid day off for their employees on their birthday. We don’t used to have this. So, Birthday boys/ girls for next half of the year can enjoy the perks!
④ Mega Sales Care pack
Mega sales including：11.11、12.12、CNY or Raya，Shopee will be sending the care pack to us.
Due to the current MCO, they will mailed it to us instead; if we were in office, we will self collect the pack, i have a few photo of the pack we received including some refreshment and some useful things.
⑤ Monthly workshop / webminar
This is very commendable. As we will have workshop for all the employees every month, including workshop for : handicraft, financial management, environmental conservation. Not forget to raise your self-worth while working hard for the company!
⑥ Yoga Wednesday
We have online yoga class every Wednesday, it’s a good to have a stretch after a long day work.
The above is the benefits & perks as an employee in Shopee. I think a lot of the companies do not have this kind of benefits. I can’t deny interview isn’t easy and work load is quite heavy, long working hours ( sometimes need to work extra hours on weekend or holiday on peak days, sometimes even need to on standby until 2am). However, you will learned about e-commerce, and development on this particular field.

A: My department always have some last minute task. I think the OT is very much depend your speed on completing the job. In the case, it’s a peak day on Saturday, the will need to be on standby for work the whole day.

Regarding the Shopee interview- Part 2
I got a lot of questions from netizens on my previous post . And today i wanted to conclude on questions i went through on my previous interview.
Q1 : How many round of interview?
A1: Normally is 3 rounds, but i’m not sure why mine is only 2 times. The first round with HR and second round with my direct manager & leader, the both interviewed me on the same time.
Q2 : Any test during the interview?
A2: There is no test for my position.
Q3: The position that i’m interviewing?
A3: Relationship management in Business Development department

Q4：Questions during the interview？
HR：
They were asking some basic questions: What was my previous job? job scope? Why choosing Shopee? and salary expectations.
It quite a relaxed interview, HR is friendly. We have some laughter, it was pretty smooth. The process took about 20-30 minutes.
Team lead & manager：
More targeted questions: To understand more on your personality and the way you handled things, also whether you can work with your teammates and most importantly whether you fit into the position.
I remember one of the question：if you’re in a completion, what would you prepare beforehand? Or you will just go without prepare? And what do you expect on the ranking?
I think this question is basically to observe whether you are competitive. And are you prepare for the Peak day. ( no exact answer, just follow your heart)
Q5：What do i need to prepare for the interview？
Of course the Shopee background search. For.e.g. What have they launch lately, some function in Shopee app. Best is you bought something with Shopee before, understand how Shopee works ( from a customer perspective), what is Shopee strength compare to it’s competitor.
Other things to take note：
- Most of the talents in Shopee are out-going and friendly, therefore HR will tend to look for people like these.
- i urged those who wanted the job to do your homework, get prepared before the interview. Do not waste your time as well as the HR.
- Communication skill is important too, when you do your self- introduction. You can also make some examples which related to the communication skills.
- You can ask the interviewer some questions when times are right. Just in case, you don’t like the culture after being offered the job.
